    How OPEN ACCESS TM improves upon conventional notification procedures:
    1. Under OPEN ACCESS TM Fire alarms are sent directly and automatically to the fire department under the supervision of the monitoring station operator
    2. The alarm operator receives acknowledgement that the signal has received emergency services response, or OPEN ACCESSTM provides an error message to the operator allowing prompt manual response
    3. Monitoring stations and fire departments see all signals sent and received
    4. To ensure ongoing supervision, the OPEN ACCESS TM alarm remains active at the monitoring station
    5. All network transmissions are recorded and supervised
    OPEN ACCESS TM:
    • does not require new alarm equipment
    • does not affect the monitoring standards of UL, NFPA or FM
    • is an open, low cost, network protocol
    • allowing fire alarms from UL/ULC alarm central stations to go directly to a fire department's CAD dispatch system
