How OPEN ACCESS
TM
improves upon conventional notification procedures:
- Under OPEN ACCESS
TM
Fire alarms are sent directly and automatically to the fire department under the supervision of the monitoring station operator
The alarm operator receives acknowledgement that the signal has received emergency services response, or OPEN ACCESSTM provides an error message to the operator allowing prompt manual response
Monitoring stations and fire departments see all signals sent and received
To ensure ongoing supervision, the OPEN ACCESS
TM
alarm remains active at the monitoring station
All network transmissions are recorded and supervised

 |
OPEN ACCESS
TM:
- does not require new alarm equipment
- does not affect the monitoring standards of UL, NFPA or FM

- allowing fire alarms from UL/ULC alarm central stations to go directly to a fire department's CAD dispatch system
